CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

YOUTH THEATER AUDITION PREP
(Ages: 11-17)
Workshop will focus on cold script reading, vocal technique
and improvisation. Each student will have an individual time
slot to work on an audition song with musical director. Students
will also have the opportunity to learn how to use a microphone properly. A mock audition will take place to give students the opportunity to work out the "kinks" and utilize the skills taught.
Speaking in front of people is a skill that everyone needs to acquire at some point in their life. This class is the perfect place to start.

IMAGINATION & LITERACY
(Ages: 4-7)
Imagination camp will focus on movement, music,
creative play and dramatic discovery to explore
characters, settings, and themes using literary favorites
as inspiration. Skills practiced and learned will culminate
in short showcase of skills on July 26th at 11am.

NOVA THEATER
(Ages: 8-11) |
Focus on age appropriate and skill-based exercises to strengthen ensemble and individual craft. Explore creative process and develop individual potential. Primary focus will be on movement, music, characters, settings and themes. Skills practiced and learned will culminate in a performance of a short children’s musical on August 2nd at 11am.

ACTION THEATER
(Ages: 11-17)
Theater isn’t just about singing and dancing. Students will
learn about stage combat, work on scripts, scenes and monologues. Learn necessary skills to present yourself on
any subject, in front of people, using your own personal strengths. Skills practiced and learned will culminate into
a short showcase on July 26th at 11am.

MAIN STAGE - Musical Production
(Ages: 11-17)
Youth will explore the world of musical theater as they work
on singing, dancing and acting skills while preparing a
show. Students will work with an experienced creative team
to rehearse and present a musical theater production with
modest technical support for performances on 8/10 & 8/11.
BONUS
• Main Stage participants will also take part in
Action Theatre class from 9-10am each day.
• Scripts, practice music tracks, costumes, props,
and two ½ price tickets provided.
• Individual voice lessons with musical director
throughout session dates for all roles.
